Bayton CE Primary School
Thank you for participating in the Stay and Play session held during our Maths lesson. We have received some great feedback and we will be organising a Science Stay and Play session next term.
We can’t wait to get started on our new topic ‘Amazing Africa’. We’ve got lots of exciting learning opportunities planned based around the text ‘The Hunter’ and ‘The Butterfly Lion’. The focus will be on writing and the children will be learning about different aspects of African life including debating. We will also be focusing on the Year3/4 spellings and times tables.
English and Maths will be set on a Tuesday and handed in the following Monday. This will be linked to work your child has been doing in class and should take no longer than 20 minutes, and completed with minimal adult support.
We have lots of children last term that didn’t have the correct P.E. kit so please ensure your child has an indoor and outdoor PE kit in school every day.
PE will take place on a Monday and Wednesday.
The children will be reading a class book together but please listen to your child read at home at least 4 times a week.
Please remember that children are not allowed to bring in any stationary such as pencil cases, pens, rubbers, etc as this is all provided for every child in the classroom.
DRINKS BOTTLES & HEALTHY SNACK
Your child can bring a drinks bottle into class to have throughout the day but please ensure that this is only water and not squash or fizzy pop.
